Passam hoje, precisamente, 18 anos que morreu um dos maiores artistas (porque era isso mesmo que ele era, um artista completo, um performer extraordinário e um músico talentosíssimo) do século XX: Freddy Mercury.

Embora não sendo fã do "Rei da Pop", reconhecia um talento natural em Michael Jackson e uma forma de estar (e de ser) que revolucionou o mundo da música. A sua vida, dentro e fora dos palcos, sempre controversa e tantas vezes excêntrica, foi tema de todos os tablóides e muitos, como eu, cresceram a vê-lo, ouvi-lo e a olhar com espanto, admiração ou cepticismo para a sua evolução. Com Michael Jackson morre aquele que foi um dos grandes ícones musicais da minha geração.

RIP Michael Jackson.
